There are two different sections on a Develop Learning Record where First Aid and CPR can be verified – Training and/or DHS Licensing Requirements. Neither option is necessarily better or worse, but you may find one or the other more convenient or suited to your needs.
Training:
Everyone with a Develop Profile, whether you have a membership or not, can use Develop’s Search for Training Calendar to find approved First Aid/CPR training events. After you complete one of these approved events, the training provider will verify the training title and hours in the Training section of your Learning Record.
There are many training events in Develop offered by approved First Aid/CPR Trainers, but if you are having difficulty finding one that meets your needs, we encourage you to contact your Regional Child Care Aware of MN office.
DHS Licensing Requirements:
This is where Achieve can verify other First Aid/CPR documentation when you submit an Individual Membership application or renewal in Develop. This section will show the award date and expiration date of your First Aid/CPR certification, but it will NOT show training hours.
To verify First Aid/CPR certification dates in this section of the Learning Record, Achieve will accept a copy of an official First Aid/CPR/AED card or certificate issued by one of the following agencies:
-
-
- American Red Cross
- American Heart Association (AHA)
- Front and back of card or official e-card certificate with QR Code
- AHA requires all information to be printed on the back of the card; hand-written information is not acceptable.
- American Safety & Health Institute
- National Safety Council
- Minnesota Medical Training Services
Disclaimer:
Achieve and Develop do not determine or oversee licensing training requirements. Some licensors, at their discretion, may accept training hours that are not verified on the Learning Record. We highly recommend communicating with your licensor ahead of time to see what they accept to meet your annual training requirements.
