Job Summary: To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning by providing specialized clerical and technical duties related to the assignment or placement, as well as related responsibilities requiring creative solutions to specialized site/department needs. Answer correspondence and assemble highly confidential and sensitive information. Interact with a diverse group of external customers as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize and carry out a diversified workload, and make recommendations for changes in office practices or procedures.
Responsibilities and tasks include:
Provide secretarial support in the form of typing, word processing, filing, duplicating materials, faxing.
Verify and process paperwork for the enrollment of new students.
Request records from previous school. Receive, answer and refer student questions as they relate to school policies and procedures, attendance, discipline; provide information to administrative staff as requested.
Enter enrollment information on TSIS.
Transfer completed enrollment records to schools.
Maintain adequate inventory of office supplies for all staff.
Serve as back up receptionist and maintain reception area.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Minimum qualifications include: High school diploma or equivalent.
General secretarial/clerical skills including word processing, establish and maintain data bases.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to help, serve, and exchanging information.
Willingness to learn and use data management systems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High level of organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with enrollment center staff and customers.
Salary: View salary grid on Page 5, Section 1, and Classification 3-B, Pages 6 – 7, Section 3 of the Osseo Administrative Professionals (OAP) contract
Work schedule: Full-time, 8 hrs/day, 5 days/week, 260 days per year
