Summary / Purpose
The Parent Aware Recruiter is responsible for recruiting licensed child care providers within the seven-county metro area and supporting their enrollment in Parent Aware, Minnesota’s Quality Rating and Improvement System. The role builds partnerships, coordinates Parent Aware outreach activities, and provides information and assistance to promote participation among providers and community partners.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Recruit licensed child care providers and support them through the Parent Aware enrollment process.
  • Serve as a liaison between Parent Aware, Child Care Aware of Minnesota (CCAMN), the Coordinating Office, Baseline Coordinators, and Quality Coaches and Regional Partners.
  • Coordinate and implement recruitment strategies across regional sites.
  • Deliver presentations and to community networks on the benefits and process of Parent Aware participation
  • Build and maintain relationships with diverse community organizations, leaders, and providers to strengthen recruitment efforts.
  • Identify target communities and develop outreach activities to increase program participation and retention.
  • Provide technical assistance to providers regarding enrollment, retention and program expectations.
  • Analyze recruitment data and prepare related reports as requested.
  • Participate in meetings, maintain regular and reliable attendance, and adhere to safety and performance standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification (Education, Experience, Skills)
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, communications, public relations, early childhood education, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in community organizing, outreach, or provider engagement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to influence and build relationships across communities.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of child development or the Minnesota child care system preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to use databases and virtual meeting platforms effectively.
  • Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • This position is moderately active and requires frequent travel within the metro area.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Frequent use of a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment.
  • May involve occasional setup or movement of meeting furniture for events or trainings.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and proof of insurance.
  • Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
