Pay: $18.00 per hour
Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt
School-Year Position: September–May
Preferred Hours: 3:00–5:30 PM

Available Classroom Opportunities

We have part-time opportunities available working with the following age groups:

• Infants: 6 weeks–15 months | 10 hours/week
• Toddlers/Junior Preschool: 16 months–2 years | 10 hours/week
• Preschool/Pre-K: 3–5 years | 5 hours/week

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Grace Beginnings Academy Aftercare Assistant Teacher is passionate about guiding and caring for 6-week-olds–5-year-olds in a Christ-centered environment. The ideal candidate works collaboratively with the aftercare staff and supports each child’s physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and spiritual growth. This role supports children and implements after-school activities.

• Assist in implementing the aftercare schedule, including free play, outside time, activities and care for each child.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with other aftercare staff.
• Approach behavioral issues that arise with children with Christ-centered love, respect and patience.
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is essential for this position.
• Maintain licensing compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS

• Educational requirements: 16 years old with high school credits or a diploma.
• Experience required: Must meet licensing requirements for an aide/assistant.
• Has a commitment to prayer, as evidenced in both corporate and personal prayer.
• Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
• Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations.
