Northeast Child Development Center at East Side Neighborhood Services is looking for a caring and dynamic early childhood professional to lead our educational team as the Center Director!
The Director will ensure a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children, while maintaining compliance with Minnesota state regulations and fostering strong relationships with families and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the childcare center, ensuring full compliance with Minnesota Rules and all applicable licensing regulations.
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate teaching and support staff, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that support children’s growth and development.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with state licensing and internal policies.
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and regulatory agencies to build trust and ensure transparency.
Manage budgets, enrollment, and center resources to support operational efficiency and financial sustainability.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate environment for children and staff.
Serve as a professional role model, demonstrating integrity, positivity, and leadership.
Ensure minimal absences and a strong presence to support staff and families.
Tour and enroll new families, providing a welcoming and informative introduction to the center.
Assist with the hiring, training, and orientation of new staff members.
Provide back-up coverage to maintain staff ratios or support services for classroom operations.
Be tech-savvy, utilizing software and digital tools for administrative and educational purposes.
Handle paperwork, receipts, and records with accuracy and confidentiality.
Implement best practices and developmentally appropriate methods in all aspects of center programming.
