As a Lead Teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to create a classroom environment where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. You’ll lead your classroom team, develop engaging curriculum, partner with families, and support each child’s unique developmental needs. This is more than a teaching position. You’ll have the opportunity to shape a child’s early experiences, build confidence, and help create a community where every child knows they belong.

Responsibilities for Lead Teacher:
- Lead your classroom by creating a warm, engaging, and inclusive environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and learning experiences that support children’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development.
- Adapt activities and curriculum to meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the children in your classroom.
- Observe, document, and assess children’s development and use those observations to guide curriculum and individualized support.
- Provide individualized and 1:1 support when needed to help children fully participate in classroom activities.
- Build strong, positive relationships with children and encourage curiosity, independence, creativity, and confidence.
- Partner with families through conversations, meetings, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Coach and mentor Assistant Teachers, helping them grow their skills and confidence as early childhood educators.
Requirements:
- Need to have obtained some post-secondary credits in Early Childhood Education or related area.
- Experience working with young children in an early childhood education setting is preferred.
- Must maintain CPR and First Aid certifications that Fraser provides.
- Must be able to work independently and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, multiculturalism, and inclusion with a focus on culturally responsive practice, internal self-awareness, and reflection.

Pay, location, & Schedules:
- $18.00 – $23.00 per hour
- Richfield, MN – Fraser School
- Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 am – 6:00 pm.
