Job Title: Toddler/Preschool Teacher
Pay: $22/hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated preschool teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will understand early childhood development, have experience teaching young children, and a commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education in a nurturing and supportive environment.
Essential Job Functions:
-Plan, implement, and teach developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities that promote
children academically, emotionally, socially, and physically.
-Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every child feels valued,
respected, and supported.
-Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues through effective
communication and collaboration.
-Conduct and document ongoing assessments of childrens’ progress and development. Then
use this information to inform individualized instruction/support.
-Collaborate with other Wonder Fun Academy team members to plan special events, and parent
involvement activities.
-Maintain a clean, organized, inviting classroom environment that promotes exploration,
creativity, and learning.
-Actively supervise all children to ensure their safety and well being.
-Adhere to all licensing regulations, health/safety standards, and center policies and
procedures.
-As required, participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent
conferences.
-Light cleaning as directed
Qualifications:
– Must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent certification, minimum of 24
qualifying semester credits with 4,160 hours as assistant teacher to be considered
teacher-qualified under Minnesota Rule 3. For other requirements see Minnesota Rule 3
– Be able to work a flexible, full-time or part time schedule Monday-Friday.
– Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to hire).
– Clear criminal background check.
– Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting.
– Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood education principles.
– Excellent communication, social and organizational skills.
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Benefits:
An employee earns one hour of sick and safe time(paid time off) for every 30 hours worked and can earn a maximum of 48 hours each year.
