Job Duties
Plan, implement, and evaluate daily classroom activities that support child development and align with Happy Days Learning Center’s philosophy.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
Supervise and engage children in both structured and unstructured activities.
Communicate effectively with families, staff, and leadership to support each child’s learning and well-being.
Guide and mentor assistant teachers and aides in classroom routines and curriculum implementation.
Ensure compliance with all licensing and health/safety requirements.
Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.
Complete and maintain required documentation, such as attendance, incident reports, and developmental observations.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture.
Abide by all policies outlined in the Happy Days Learning Center Employee Handbook.
Minimum Education Required
Prior experience working in a licensed early childhood education program.
Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate practices.
Experience in classroom leadership, curriculum planning, or mentoring support staff.
Minimum Experience Required
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must obtain and pass a background check prior to employment.
CPR and First Aid certification required (or must be obtained upon hire).
Ability to kneel, bend, stoop, and sit on the floor to attend to children’s needs.
Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced, and sometimes stressful environment while maintaining patience and professionalism.
Must be punctual and reliable, consistently reporting to work on time for scheduled shifts.
Demonstrates ability to work cooperatively and effectively as part of a team.
Exhibits professional, ethical, and responsible behavior at all times.
