Position Summary
The Preschool Lead Teacher plans and implements developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports kindergarten readiness in a faith-centered learning environment. This role emphasizes intentional teaching, group learning, and preparation for successful transitions.

Role & Responsibilities (What You Do)
Curriculum & Instruction
·       Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with ECIPs and Parent Aware.

·       Support early literacy, math, social-emotional learning, and problem-solving.

·       Facilitate group learning, peer collaboration, and classroom discussions.

Classroom Leadership
·       Establish clear expectations, routines, and transitions.

·       Lead and support Assistant Teachers in instructional practices.

·       Prepare children for transitions to kindergarten or the next classroom.

Family Communication
·       Communicate learning goals and child progress with families.

·       Conduct and participate in parent conferences.

·       Share resources and strategies to support learning at home.

Health, Safety & Compliance
·       Maintain a safe, organized classroom environment.

·       Ensure documentation and licensing requirements are met.

·       Follow all health and safety procedures.

·       Maintain organization, preparedness, and consistency.

Qualifications
·       Meets Minnesota DHS Lead Teacher qualifications.

·       Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.

·       Experience working with preschool-aged children.
