Position Summary

Instruct children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for a primary school in preschool, daycare center, or other child development facility. May be required to hold State certification.
Requirements
Knowledge

Education and Training – Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
English Language – Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Public Safety and Security – Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Psychology – Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.

Associates Degree in a related field
1 year of experience in the field
CPR and First Aid Certification (we can provide!)
Must have legal status to work in the U.S.
Must submit and pass a background study with the State of Minnesota Department of Human Services (fee employer-paid)
Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
5 or more years of experience in the field
