Lake Area Discovery Center (LADC) is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Lead Kinderstart Teacher to join our early childhood education team.
Our Kinderstart program provides children with a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment designed to build the skills and confidence they need for a successful transition to kindergarten. As the Lead Kinderstart Teacher, you will have the opportunity to create meaningful learning experiences, build strong relationships with children and families, and make a lasting impact during an important stage of development.
What You’ll Do As a Lead Kinderstart Teacher, you will:
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum and classroom experiences.
- Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.Support children’s social-emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
- Establish consistent classroom routines and positive behavior-guidance practices.
- Observe children’s development and use those observations to support individual learning needs.
- Build positive and professional relationships with parents and families.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, Site Directors, and LADC leadership.
- Maintain classroom organization, health, safety, and licensing standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to classroom team members.
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and LADC events.
What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who:
- Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Current Minnesota teaching license issued by PELSB, preferably in Early Childhood Education or a related licensure area.
- Has experience working with preschool or pre-kindergarten-aged children.
- Is passionate about early childhood education and helping children prepare for kindergarten.
- Demonstrates strong communication, organization, and classroom-management skills.
- Is dependable, collaborative, and committed to creating a positive environment for children, families, and coworkers.
- Is able to meet applicable background study and licensing requirements.
