Duties
Collaborate with fellow lead teachers to develop and implement innovative curriculum plans tailored to diverse learning needs, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
Engage children through hands-on activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and physical development aligned with best practices in early childhood education.
Manage classroom routines effectively, utilizing strong classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns, ensuring transparent and supportive relationships.
Support children with special education needs and early intervention strategies to promote inclusive participation and growth.
Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and health & safety protocols, including first aid and CPR certifications.
Document lesson plans, assessments, and child progress using standardized testing methods when appropriate to inform instruction and support individual learning goals.
Experience
Prior experience working directly with young children in early childhood education settings such as preschools or daycare centers.
Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and childhood development.
Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering a nurturing environment conducive to learning and exploration.
Experience working with children who have special needs or require early intervention services is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills for parent engagement, team collaboration, and documentation of student progress.
Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and experience implementing behavior management strategies.
Certification in first aid and CPR is required within 90 days ;additional credentials in early childhood education or preschool teaching are preferred.
